FSH 2012 preliminary information
2012. January 11. // Category: Competition
This years competition will take place at the well known harbor of Győr-Gönyű on 17-20 August 2012
Formula Student Hungary is on the start for 2012!
For the year 2012 Formula Student Hungary will also feature cars with electric powertrains. This means, that race cars with regular combustion engines and electric powertrains will compete in the same class. We came to this decision through discussions with our colleagues from Formula Student (UK). Our regulations for electric vehicles will be aligned with the FS and FS Germany electric rules to make it easier for teams to compete in these competitions.
The FSH Rules will be published in the next two weeks. Until then please be aware of the following key points:
- Formula Student Hungary will accept vehicles with „regular” combustion powertrains and electric powertrains.
- The maximum engine size for all competitors is 610cc.
- For electric vehicles, the maximum voltage is provisionally 600V. However, this is still being reviewed and some related changes are likely in order to accommodate this.
- All teams will compete in the full cost event and a sustainability event will be incorporated which will cover the powertrain.
- The fuel economy event will be judged on the CO2 produced also. The conversion tables will be the same as for FS.
- It is very important, that universities which plan to have a combustion and also an electric team on the start, have to register SEPARATE accounts for both teams and for the event parallel with both accounts.
- Teams that have an account from the previous years, only have to register for the event as it is possible. Please check if all your team and team member data is up to date! We also kindly ask every team member to add their name and role in the team when filling out personal data, thereby making administration easier for both parties.
